A large part of the Committee and Athletes time is spent Fundraising every year.

Rowing is a very expensive sport and the costs of running a club can be very high. Costs come from Boat Maintenance, Fuel , Travel and Entries into events.

In order to meet these costs our club holds fundraising events right through the year. These events range from simple bag packing days to several quiz nights and bake sales.

We don’t just collect for our club however, and for the last two years we have had a partnership with the Irish Heart Foundation and have donated 50% of money raised on most events to the charity!

In addition to this we were a huge participant in R&G week 2013 by running the large “What’s in the Box?” campaign and raising lots of money for charity!

UCC Rowing Club expects all members to help out with Fundraising.
