UCCRC at Club’s Day

Tomorrow, 12th September, will mark Club’s Day 2017, bringing clubs of all disciplines from every corner of campus into Devere Hall to showcase what they have to offer to the incoming cohort of freshers, between 10am and 3pm.

UCC Rowing Club (UCCRC) will have a large presence as is customary, the main highlight being the annual erg (rowing machine) competition. Competitors will race a 500m sprint and all the times for the day will be entered on to a leaderboard. The top ranked rowers will win a prize to be revealed on the day. This will all be taking place at the Amphitheatre, and represents a great opportunity to get some fresh air and experience some competition on what can prove to be a long day inside the hall.

We strongly encourage anybody interested in rowing with UCC to come up to either our outdoor stand, or out stand inside in Devere Hall. We’re looking for rowers of all skill levels, from complete novices to experienced oarsmen and oarswomen. As will be advertised tomorrow, our Information Night will take place on September 18th at 6pm in the Mardyke Pavilion. So please come along and chat to our current rowers, and test your skills in our competition, we look forward to seeing you there!
