4 UCC Students represented Team Ireland at the World University Rowing Championships in Poznan, Poland from 2nd-4th September 2016. Aoife Feeley teamed up with Eimear Lambe, Siofra Bennett and Aileen Crowley of UCD to compete in the Women’s Coxless Four event at the championships. Following good performances throughout the weekend, Aoife finished in a very respectable 2nd place in the B-Final just behind a strong Swiss crew to finish 8th overall.

David Synnott and Jake McCarthy contested the Lightweight Men’s Double Sculls, a category in which they were the youngest crew of the field.
