Men’s Squad Galway Training Camp 2015

The Men’s squad traveled up to Galway City from the 30th of January to the 1st of February to get some training on the River Corrib with coach Paul Thornton, who started coaching at Galway Rowing Club. The squad went up to test out various combinations and to get some decent mileage in a new environment. It was a relatively intense camp but luckily all squad members made it back to Cork in one piece. The Rowers all became familiar with each other in the city of the Tribesmen and the individuals who made the trip up formed a strong mob during the camp after tough sessions on the water and in the gym. This camp is certainly going to prove indispensable for the rest of the season because that weekend, every athlete proved their own worth and the mob’s confidence grew massively as a result.

The next big event for the squad will be Erne Head in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh.
